This historical city has nowadays a lot to offer to its visitors, with a wide cultural and gastronomic offer and all the touristic infrastructure of a great city. In addition, the city has an important number of museums around the figure of the universal literary author, Jovellanos, as its theater and some recreational areas of great beauty as Catholic Isabela Park, the Botanical Gardens or the Port Deportivo. Among its highlights the Ethnographic Museum of Asturias. Other must-sees for relaxation and tranquility are the Spa Talasoponiente with thalassotherapy circuit and the magnificent Aquarium.

But besides an incredible historical with a strong medieval imprint, Gijón has a wonderful natural places of marvellous beauty that can be seen on the coast, the beaches of San Lorenzo de Poniente, Arbeyal or Nora, where visitors can relax having a magnificent walk through the autumn colors. For history buffs, however, the perfect place is the Campa Torres, where you can discover the real home of prehistoric astur.

Another of his powerful inducements, besides its culture, is the magnificent cuisine with gastronomic routes that can be made to its great restaurants and the famous Cider Route, visiting and enjoying this magnificent llagares of the apple-based drink. But Gijon, besides its wonderful cider is known for its excellent variety of quality seafood, with a huge variety of restaurants in the old town where you can try typical limpets and sea urchins.
